FAQs

Q1) So what exactly is life coaching????!!!

A1) Life coaching consists of a set of powerful questions, tools and techniques used by coaches to help clients gain clarity and move past obstacles and suffering to get the transformation and results they want. Coaches help clients find the answers that always lie within. We don’t offer advice, or claim to know what’s best for you.

As life coaches, we believe that each person is born with the innate knowledge of what their best life looks like – the types of friends they prefer, their favorite place to live and best job…(etc.) –as well as how to create it. But often, life throws us off course. We disconnect from our truth and we lose the way to our happiness.

That’s where a life coach can help.

We can set up a safe space for you to unwind, let go and be lovingly selfish so that you can retrace the steps back to your true desires and inner compass.

The coaching process focuses on the future and as a result can assist to change attitudes resulting from past experience. We believe that the client always knows best.

Q2) What’s the difference between life coaching and psychotherapy??!!

A2) Life coaching is NOT a substitute for therapy. We take reasonably mentally healthy individuals and coach them to a better state of health and living. It is NOT for people with serious mental/emotional issues. It is the client’s responsibility to seek psychotherapy if they need it.

Q3) What kind of ‘issues’ or problems can I be coached on?

A3) Coaching is helpful if you feel out of balance, if you are burned out in your career or relationships and long for a change, if you are going through some kind of transition and you feel you have ‘lost yourself’, if you seek more self-confidence or you simply want to increase the joy and fulfillment in your life.

Q4) What results can I get out of coaching?

A4) Every client has a different story and vision – but generally, people who have been coached say they get more clarity about everyday decisions or major life changes; they can better navigate challenges and upheavals in their lives without breaking down; they regain a sense of control and peace over their life and are able to reach their goals quickly with more satisfaction and happiness.

Q5) What does your coaching format look like?

A5) My coaching format includes:

  • A complimentary 30-minute ‘Discovery Session’ which takes place over the phone/Skype to see if we are a good fit together and if this is the right coaching for you.
  • A minimum of six weeks of coaching – 60-minute live coaching session with me every week over Skype (or local phone/Viber when applicable) done from the comfort and privacy of your home or quiet space.
  • Email support throughout the six weeks
  • One or more of the following: Pre-work, summary or follow-up emails, homework exercises and/or assigned reading, worksheets and tools.
  • An assessment at the end of the coaching and action plan to give you a concrete blueprint towards reaching more of your goals.

The more you put into doing the work, the more feedback you’ll receive and the faster you’ll get to where you want to go.

Q6) What if I schedule a free Discovery Session and decide I don’t want to sign-up for this coaching?

There is absolutely no obligation for either of us start coaching after the Discovery Session. This is your process and it must feel right for you and your goals.

If you have any more questions or are ready to schedule your free 30-minute Discovery Session then email me at: hebakandilcoaching@gmail.com
